Frequently asked questions

Expect the first 90 days to be mostly about getting pages indexed and ranking for your brand name and very specific searches. Competitive searches usually take six to twelve months or longer. Nobody can promise a timeline, because Google decides rankings.

The most common reasons are that Google has not found it yet, a noindex setting is still on from the test version, robots.txt is blocking it, or the sitemap and canonical tags point to the wrong addresses. Check each of these in Google Search Console using URL Inspection. Fix the technical cause before writing more content.

Yes. Analytics shows what visitors do on your site, while Search Console shows how Google sees your site: which pages are indexed, which searches you appear for and what errors it found. Both are free, and for SEO, Search Console is the more useful one.

For most small businesses, around four good posts a month is plenty. Each one should answer a real question your customers ask and link to the service page it relates to. Fewer useful posts beat many thin ones.

Cheap link packages usually come from low quality or spammy sites and can do more harm than good. Earn links from real sources instead: trade associations, suppliers, partners and local news. It is slower, but those links actually count.

A canonical tag is a line in the page code that tells Google the official address of that page. Most website builders and SEO plugins add it automatically, but you should check that it matches the live address with no redirect. If it points somewhere that redirects, Google gets mixed signals.

You can do the basics yourself: set up Search Console, submit a sitemap, write one page per service and answer customer questions in articles. An agency helps when there are technical problems, a large site or a competitive market. AMEVIX DIGITAL can check the technical side first so you know what you are dealing with.

Submit your sitemap in Search Console, use URL Inspection and Request Indexing on your key pages, and link to new pages from your home page and other pages. Make sure each page has enough real content to be worth indexing. Requesting indexing again and again for the same page does not speed it up.

Only if you can write something genuinely different for each city, like areas covered, timings or local work you have done. Twenty pages with only the city name swapped look like thin copies to Google. One strong page is better than many weak ones.

A new design alone is usually fine, but changing URLs without redirects can wipe out your progress. If addresses change, set up a 301 redirect from each old URL to its new one. Then update your sitemap and canonical tags so they only list the new addresses.
